Engineering Co-op - Manufacturing Validation Job Details | Arthrex

Main Objective:

To learn the manufacturing process of medical devices (implants and instruments) and how to qualify/validate from machining to final cleaning in a medical device company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in ongoing CNC Machining, Injection Molding, and cleaning validations to validate systems/processes used for manufacturing of implants and instruments for MPIs, insourcing, and process improvement projects.
• Assist in protocol & report writing, data assessment, and content.
• Inspect parts for validation studies.
• Perform Minitab statistical data analysis.
• Assist in software validation of inspection measurement systems.
• Assist in writing of protocol deviations and investigation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a recent graduate required. Sophomore or junior, studying Mechanical, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering preferred. *(Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)*

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

• Strong technical writing skills preferred.
• Prior statistical data analysis experience preferred (Minitab).

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
