About the role
Your Impact
- Support the development and implementation of safety programs and procedures that promote a strong safety culture across the facility.
- Assist with ergonomic assessments and improvement initiatives to help create a safer and more efficient work environment.
- Participate in safety and environmental audits to help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Review, update, and develop employee training materials that strengthen safety awareness and knowledge.
- Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and workplace evaluations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to commute to the Beloit, Kansas work location daily.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Interest in environmental health and safety practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Previous internship, co-op, campus leadership, or relevant part-time work experience is preferred.
