How you will make contributions that matter...

  • Assist plants in reviewing, rewriting, and implementation of environmental programs.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with the Risk Management Program (RMP)/Process Safety Management Program (PSM) for the ammonia refrigeration system, and any other programs required by OSHA and Corporate Safety, Health and Environments Departments.
  • Coordinate supplemental inspections whenever new processes, equipment or substances are introduces or new or previously unrecognized hazards are identified.
  • Help complete the plant environmental reports including fuel usage, air emissions, storm water, chemical/product spills, waste oil, light bulb recycling and other environmental waste programs.
  • Verify that corrective measures are completed in a timely fashion for any hazards identified.
  • Participate in post incident analysis and communicate lessons learned.
  • Submit weekly status reports specifying projects completed during the week.
  • Other duties or projects as required or requested.

You are best suited for the role if you…

  • Are pursuing a bachelors' or graduate degree in an Environmental or a related field.
  • Are self-motivated, able to multi-task, can work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Are able to lead, influence, and motivate people.
  • Have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have valid drivers' license and vehicle and ability to travel throughout the Wisconsin area/upper Midwest.
  • Have a working knowledge of computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.) a must, proficient skills preferred.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
  • Have the ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.
  • Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.
