Epitaxial Material Development Intern
MACOM · Lowell, MA, US
About the role
Thin Films, Intern
Role Overview: Intern will get hands on experience with state-of-the-art semiconductor material deposition using Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE), with an emphasis on GaN based materials. Additionally, they will use various characterization techniques to assess the grown film’s structural and electrical qualities. This includes, but is not limited to, atomic force microscopy (AFM) along with Hall Effect and Lehighton measurements.
Candidate will be given a personalized project to work on that has the potential to impact business decisions at MAOCM. In order to succeed in this project, they will receive ongoing training and mentorship. This work will culminate in a final poster presentation alongside their fellow interns.
