Legal Internships

CARECEN offers hands-on legal internships for law students of all levels during the spring semester, fall semester, and summer. Legal interns have the opportunity to work with attorneys and paralegals on a wide range of affirmative and defensive immigration matters. Our internships focus on training and mentorship so you can learn best practices and gain substantive knowledge of immigration law and client-facing work.

CARECEN also offers a limited number of legal internships for college students. College students have the opportunity to assist on legal cases through, among other tasks, interpretation, form/application preparation, and country conditions research.

Interested college students should email legalintern@carecenny.org with a resume and cover letter that discusses the applicant's availability and interest in CARECEN's work.

Our internships generally run from January through April, May through August, and September through November. Please see the internship job postings for more information.
