Fiscal Services Tech

Position Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is in search of an organized, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Fiscal Services Tech. This position reports directly to the Accountant III and will be the main point of contact for the Department Finance Team.

The successful candidate will thrive in a detail-oriented role which requires the performance of repetitive tasks accurately and consistently. Experience is preferred but not required. The chosen applicant is expected to demonstrate a broad knowledge of UNM procurement rules and procedures by the end of the probationary period. Specific responsibilities:

• Processing purchasing and reimbursement requests
• Entering data into and ensuring the validity of department financial databases
• Tracking balances in various indices as funds are expended
• Monitoring and answering e-mails in a shared e-mail inbox
• Categorizing and reconciling receipts to purchases and packing slips
• Reconciling credit card purchases in Chrome River
• Infrequent travel to off-campus vendors to complete purchases
• Other duties as assigned
