About the job
Prevention Meets Fashion's (PMF) internship program is a 3-month workforce development, mentorship, and leadership program focused on supporting the personal, professional, academic and economic growth of Black, POC, LGBTQ+ and non-binary community members living in Philadelphia, PA and surrounding counties. The goals of the program are: To challenge the intern to not only apply academic knowledge but to understand when to go beyond academic knowledge in order to understand how real world experiences impact the various marginalized communities that we serve. To broaden students’ concept of sexual and reproductive health by increasing their awareness of the needs and challenges of Black and LGBTQ+ people.
To provide an internship program that creates systemic change by transforming the workplace narrative to inspire Black, POC, LGBTQ+ and non-binary community members to become future leaders by increasing their economic stability and decreasing workforce barriers. *PMF has both paid and unpaid internship opportunities for social workers and non-social workers.* Review our Internship Description PMFs internship program is designed to support several populations: Not a social worker?
