As a result of this position, the student will be able to: Demonstrate professional workplace behaviors including communication, time management, confidentiality, and collaboration. Gain experience supporting employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives within a large university environment. Learn basic principles of employee engagement, employee listening, survey administration, and project coordination.

Develop skills in data organization, reporting, and workplace communications. Build proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other business technologies. Understand how employee feedback is collected, communicated, and used to improve the employee experience.

Duties may include: Assist with employee engagement and employee listening initiatives. Support survey administration activities, including preparing communications, tracking participation, and organizing survey-related materials. Assist with updating and maintaining employee engagement resources, toolkits, and website content.

Help coordinate meetings, events, focus groups, and engagement activities. Create and format presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and communication materials. Compile, organize, and maintain engagement-related data and files while ensuring confidentiality.

Monitor shared inboxes and route inquiries to appropriate team members. Conduct basic research on employee engagement trends and best practices. Assist with preparing reports, summaries, and meeting materials for employee engagement projects.

Perform general administrative and office support duties as assigned. Performs additional duties to assist the department as required. Average Number of Hours per Week: 20 hours per week Schedule: Flexible around class schedule within business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, with in-person, in-office attendance.

Office location CGS or SVC Building, Tampa Campus. Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for 2026-2027 to be considered for this position. Preferred Qualifications: Major in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Communication, Organizational Development, Public Administration, or a related field preferred but not required Prior customer service, administrative support, student leadership, or office experience.

Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Interest in employee engagement, organizational culture, employee experience, human resources, or communications. Special Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with employee information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
