About the role
The City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation is launching its 2025 internship program for high school, college and graduate students. To participate, students need to apply by February 14, 2025.
Each participating unit is directed to create real-life work objectives for the interns to execute and to guide and mentor their young interns. The unit assignments will foster interest in the multitude of departments and fields that keep the airports at peak performance every day. As much as possible, interns will be matched to units which align with their studies and career goals.
By exposing young people to careers in aviation and by having the students work on meaningful projects, the Department of Aviation hopes to accomplish several objectives: demonstrating how interconnected units are and how important each player’s role is in relation to overall organizational objectives. Interns will learn how important each discipline is in aviation and how units work together as a team to be an award-winning airport.

Duration: Full-timecollege internships; high school summer internships are typically 20 hours per week on average. In-person work schedules.
