Housing Externship

The Housing Extern will support CLA attorneys with Housing Court activities in Berkeley and Dorchester Counties. Externs will gain hands-on experience with eviction proceedings, housing law, and access to justice by assisting with client intake, court hearings, and case management.

Responsibilities include screening clients, attending court, maintaining case records, conducting legal research, and tracking outcomes. Externs may also join client meetings, consultations, and community events.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in public interest law and housing justice.
