Meijer is seeking candidates for Information Technology internships across Digital Solutions and Applications Development, Information Security, Enterprise Systems and Tools, IT Enterprise Architecture, and IT Operations and Infrastructure. You will gain hands-on experience in your field while learning about the retail industry and the breadth of technology careers that support the customer shopping experience.

Assignments are available within the following areas:

Digital Solutions and Applications Development

The Development teams design, build, and support the software applications that keep Meijer competitive. Interns work with current technologies to design, code, test, and ship applications for digital shopping, Pharmacy, Finance, Merchandising, and Supply Chain, as well as our enterprise and retail store systems. Interns also contribute to business analytics and reporting work.

Enterprise Systems and Tools

The Enterprise Systems and Tools team owns the platforms the company runs on, including our Human Capital Management system and the enterprise business applications and tooling used across Meijer. Interns work on configuration, integration, and process improvement for systems thousands of team members rely on daily.

IT Enterprise Architecture

The IT Enterprise Architecture team sets technical direction, defining enterprise solution architecture and managing the application portfolio so investments fit together coherently. Interns get a rare cross-company view of how technology decisions are made and sequenced.

IT Operations and Infrastructure

The Operations and Infrastructure team provides the foundation the company runs on, managing business-critical components such as network and voice communications, cloud services, middleware, enterprise monitoring, data platforms, operating system and network support, and client services. Interns have the opportunity to work with cloud technologies and with automation and machine learning approaches used for issue detection and self-healing.
