Job Description: Internship Opportunity: Infrastructure and Deployment Automation Intern Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) invites motivated students or early-career professionals to join our team as an Infrastructure and Deployment Automation Intern. In this role, you will assist in designing, building, and maintaining automation solutions for large-scale High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI environments. This internship offers hands-on experience in software development, systems engineering, DevOps, and AI-assisted operations within a cutting-edge technology setting. *Responsibilities:* Support the development of automated workflows for deploying and managing HPC and AI infrastructure.
Assist in scripting and automating tasks using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar. Help build and test CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure components, containers, and software stacks. Contribute to infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and recovery activities under supervision.
Collaborate with team members to integrate compute, networking, storage, and container technologies. Participate in creating documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Learn to use advanced AI tools and techniques, including natural language queries and retrieval-augmented generation, to improve documentation and support workflows.
Gain exposure to monitoring, logging, and security best practices for large-scale systems. *Education & Experience:* Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding of Linux operating systems, scripting, and programming languages such as Python or Bash. *Knowledge & Skills:* Interest in automation, infrastructure, HPC, or AI/ML systems. Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. *Impact/Scope/What HPE Has to Offer* Hands-on experience with industry-leading HPC and AI infrastructure.
