This co-op provides hands-on experience developing AI-powered solutions that enhance software quality, security, delivery velocity, and engineering efficiency. You will collaborate with experienced software engineers, AI champions, architects, and engineering leaders while contributing to real-world projects that support enterprise-scale industrial automation software development. You will be assigned a dedicated mentor to guide you through your experience and participate in networking events and company activities.

This role is on a hybrid schedule working in Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH. This role is full-time and is ONLY June-August 2027. Your Responsibilities: You'll work with development teams, gaining hands-on experience in software development environments and using development techniques.

You will have exposure to the full development life cycle, agile methodology, system design, test-driven development, test automation, and build and configuration management. Build software applications, services, and integrations using modern software engineering practices and AI technologies. The Essentials - You Will Have: Currently pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have: Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Graduating in December 2027 or later Interest in continuous innovation and improvement in software development Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Angular/Node, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript (Typescript), Kotlin, Go, or Python.

Familiarity with Generative AI tools, LLMs, AI agents, machine learning concepts, or prompt engineering is a plus. Some experience in Angular, React, and modern web application frameworks Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Services, and cloud-native technologies Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling, and test automation frameworks

Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation. For this role, the hourly compensation for this role is $20-32.
