Intern - Corp Tax

Job Summary

Dominion Energy’s Tax department has an intern opportunity available for Summer 2027. This opportunity will allow you to put your school knowledge into practical work while working along with professionals within the Tax organization. Eligible student applicants must be able to work 40 hours per week in a hybrid working environment, with need for at least 50% of work completed on-site in our offices in Richmond, Virginia. The objectives of the intern program are to provide meaningful work and projects for completion and to help Dominion Energy develop a strong pipeline of talent. Specific duties will include:

• Assist tax department team members with month-end close activities and account reconciliations
• Support tax activities, including income tax provisions, income tax reporting, and the preparation of tax returns for commercial activities
• Assist in preparation of corporate tax returns and other filings
• Observe and engage with other departments across the finance function, including accounting, reporting, credit, payables, and treasury
• Perform routine work assignments or additional duties within the different Tax functional groups at Dominion Energy

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

• Understanding of basic accounting principles and ability to interpret financial data
• Interest in tax and/or accounting
• Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate complexities, solve problems, and work effectively within a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to organize and present financial data effectively
• Solid working knowledge and experience of MS Office applications
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn

Education Requirements

• Must be a full-time student at a 4 year university pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting or a Tax related field
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Must have a graduation date in 2029
• Preference for candidates that have completed accounting coursework up to and including Intermediate Accounting II prior to start date for internship
