Intern Mechanical Engineering - Millstone Nuclear

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a highly motivated student for an internship during the summer of 2027 in the Site Engineering Department’s Coordination and Programs. The positions are located at Dominion’s Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT. The positions will be performing Fire Protection and/or Electrical Environmental Qualification work such as:

Evaluating regulatory documentation and fire protection systems and equipment

Performing fire protection related walkdowns

Interpreting and implementing code and regulatory requirements and evaluating program/system dependencies.

This internship will involve assisting the fire protection program owner with developing and implementing program improvements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired. Proficiency in MS Excel with Macros is preferred.

Knowledge of programming and analysis is preferred

Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.

Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.

An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics

Education Requirements

• Must be a student studying Mechanical or Materials Engineering at an ABET accredited 4-year college or university
• Student must shave an anticipated graduation in December 2028 or later
• GPA of 3.0 or higher

Hourly Rate:

$23.00 - $29.00

The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's degree type, academic major, and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
