Intern, Mining Engineer

What You'll Do: Discover more about phosphate at Nutrien! This is an open posting for Mine Engineering Studentsinterested in a Summer Internship at our White Springs, Florida facility. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly paid position open to current students who will be returning totheir studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work. Work will be both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Outside the office, standard workwear will consist of hard hats, safety boots, safety glasses and ear plugs, with other items asneeded; these items will be provided

Dates/Terms:

Summer Internship:

June 1, 2027 - August 20, 2027 (End dates may be adjusted to coincide with schoolterms).

Housing/Relocation:

Housing is provided for students whose summer residence is more than 75 miles from the site. Relocation is not provided for this internship.

What you will do:

• Assist the site with various duties, including:
• - Survey underground and surface
• Ventilation airflow measurements and trouble shooting
• Rock Mechanics instrumentation installation
• Record management
• Analyze mine layout and schedule production.

What You'll Bring:

• Currently enrolled and in a Mine Engineering, Geology, Chemical, or equivalent related program with a graduation date of May 2028 or later
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Must be able to work at heights, outdoors, and around potentially hazardous chemicals
• Must be comfortable and physically capable of entering and working in a confined space
• Must be able to hear and understand audible alarms, changes in noise levels of rotating equipment and portable radio communications
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
