Intern - Operations Planning

Job Summary Exciting opportunity for a summer intern! Selected student(s) will gain utility knowledge in the Dominion Energy South Carolina Transmission Operations Center. This position is located in Cayce, South Carolina. Duties include but not limited to: outage planning and analysis of electric transmission system facilities; preparing and maintaining operator displays; supporting operator training; supporting various control room projects; and supporting Renewable Operations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience Must have strong computer knowledge and skills with demonstrated ability to learn and utilize AutoCAD, GIS and Microsoft Office products; must have good verbal and written communication skills; be able to work independently and as a team; must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned work location and have reliable transportation; must be able to move about freely and perform field work; must be able to travel and work outside of normal business hours through the company territory.

Education Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an ABET Accredited Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Must have a GPA of 2.5 or above
• Must have a graduation date of 2028 or later

What You'll Get Hourly Rate: $23.00 - $29.00

The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's degree type, academic major, and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
