INTERN R&D - Analytical Science

Position Overview:

The Analytical Science Intern will support analytical development and testing activities through hands-on sample preparation, data acquisition, analysis, and technical reporting. The intern will work closely with internal analytical teams and cross-functional scientists and technologists to contribute to ongoing and projects, while developing practical laboratory and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with analytical development and testing, including sample preparation, data acquisition & analysis and written reporting.
• Conduct an independent research project in an area of agreed upon mutual interest – proposal, execution and written and oral presentation at conclusion of internship.
• Work directly with internal analytical teams providing hands-on assistance and project guidance.
• Collaborate with other analytical scientists and technologists to deliver ad hoc project results in a timely manner.
• Ability to work independently, learn new tasks, solve problems, show strong self-motivation and initiative
• Present final report on work completed during the intern period.
• Assist in gathering relevant data from various sources.
• Manage his/her tasks and assignments efficiently to meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

• Enrollment as an undergraduate college Sophomore, Junior, Senior or graduate student in a relevant program for the 2026-2027 academic year
• Enrollment as an Analytical Sciences, Chemistry, Food Science, Organic Chemistry, or Natural Product Chemistry major for the 2026- 2027 academic year
• Grade point average overall minimum of 3.0/4.0 and 3.25 within major
• Working in chemistry lab
• Communication skills, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a structured and organized manner.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
