Supporting the Regulatory team
Supporting the Regulatory team in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across Conoco Phillips' operations in the Gulf Coast, Rockies, and Permian assets Assisting with well permitting and post-spud compliance documentation and tracking Supporting the preparation and submission of environmental surface permits Helping to maintain and update regulatory metrics and dashboards for internal reporting Participating in regulatory research and assisting in summarizing rule changes or agency updates Collaborating with team members to prepare materials for agency engagement and internal and external audits Attending team meetings and contributing to project coordination and contractor oversight efforts Shadowing Regulatory Coordinators to gain insight into pipeline compliance and enforcement implementation
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer and/or education institution
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Studies, Environmental Systems Science, Ecology and Conservation Biology, Geoscience, Geography and the Environment, Natural Resources Management, General Business or Management, Political Science, or foreign equivalent
- Current level in college: Freshman through Senior
- Expected graduation date: Fall 2027 through Spring/Fall 2030
- A minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks availability for internship
- A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Previous internships or co-ops in an energy related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Demonstrates strong understanding of regulatory compliance in the energy sector, with capabilities in environmental permitting, documentation tracking, and metrics reporting. Proficient in collaborating with teams for agency engagement and audit preparation.
