Are you called to serve Christ and others?

Do you believe God transforms lives?

Do you steward the resources God provides with wisdom?

Are you a team player?

Do you care for people, knowing all are made in the image of God?

If you answered “yes” to all those questions, then maybe God is calling you to Intern at The City Mission!

For 115 years, God has been using The City Mission to reach hearts and transform lives, especially among the most vulnerable in our community. We invite men, women, and children experiencing homelessness to participate in holistic, gospel-centered programs designed to address spiritual, emotional, relational, and practical needs. Residents engage in chapel services, case management, life-skills coursework, workforce development, and other programs that equip them for lasting stability and independence.

As staff, we are City Missionaries offering help and hope to all people through the transforming power of God’s love.

We are seeking an Intern to work alongside our Adult Case Manager at Laura's Home during the Summer of 2027. The intern will build meaningful relationships with residents while assisting with assessments, referrals, classes, and goal development. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in social services, trauma-informed care, and crisis response within a Christian nonprofit setting.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Eager to learn, take initiative, and grow professionally
  • An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable interacting with diverse groups of people
  • Able to cope with a stressful environment
  • Organized and attentive to detail, particularly with documentation and data entry
  • Able to remain calm, flexible, and effective in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Passionate about Christian ministry and community impact

Must be working toward a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
