Internship
The Paul Revere House is looking for undergraduate or graduate students interested in internships for the Spring 2027 semester. Interns will participate in most day-to-day site activities (interacting with the public, speaking to school groups, curatorial duties as needed) and complete a research or other project determined by prior agreement between the intern and the Revere House internship supervisor. Projects can relate to Paul Revere, Boston in the American Revolution, or the history of the house or the North End neighborhood. Examples of past project topics include Patriots’ use of Mohawk imagery, slavery in colonial Boston, and immigrant women’s social clubs in the early twentieth century.
Internships are unpaid and preference is given to applicants planning to do their internship for academic credit. Internships are typically two full days a week and 10-12 weeks, with the schedule to be agreed upon before the internship starts. Typically, all work is on site. Most of the site is wheelchair-accessible (including restrooms) and we will work with interns to ensure all accessibility needs are met.
Preferred qualifications: coursework or experience in history, museums, or a related field; comfort working with the public. We strive to be an inclusive organization at all levels, and welcome applications from candidates who identify as part of groups that are underrepresented in the history and museum fields.

We typically select interns three times a year, for the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. We accept applications year-round, and the latest version of the internship description is posted about one month before the application deadline for the coming semester.
The Paul Revere Memorial Association typically offers one paid short-term research fellowship per calendar year. Information about applications for the 2027 fellowship cycle will be posted on this page and on HNet when applications open, probably in late 2026.
For high schoolers interested in internships, the Paul Revere House offers a High School Summer Internship Program. Our next application cycle will open in April of 2027.
