At Summit Design + Build, we grow our team from within. That starts with you from your first summer working with us. Our internship program is designed so that you gain the most valuable experience and have more impact and more fun in the hopes that you keep coming back and grow with us.
What to Expect
No making copies or getting coffee here. We ask a lot of our interns and they get a lot in return. From interacting with clients on a daily basis to gaining exposure to every phase of the construction process, you experience more and make meaningful impact in just 12 weeks.
From day one, our interns:
- Skip the grunt work & get their hands dirty: You will be challenged by your peers and gain a true work experience
- Impact people & projects: You will play a crucial role in driving your assigned project.
- Take charge & solve problems: You will have your own unique projects and responsibilities.
- Engage with executive leadership: You will have one-on-one interactions with the Vice President and other senior leaders.
- Experience every stage of construction: You will work on everything from estimating and buyout to punchlist management.
- Build lasting relationships & have fun: You will be a respected member of the team.
The Fine Print
- Enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or Construction Management degree program
- Full-time internship with a 10-12 week duration
- Opportunities in both the office and field
- Regular site visits, lunch & learns and company social events
- Potential for full-time opportunity following completion
