Internship Objective

Support an enterprise network infrastructure implementation by coordinating the ordering, tracking, and onboarding of Internet circuits from telecommunications service providers across North America. The intern will gain practical experience in circuit provisioning, carrier coordination, network service delivery, network deployment processes, data validation, issue escalation, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to a large-scale network transformation project.

By the end of the internship, the intern will:

• Maintain complete, current, and accurate circuit-order and onboarding records.
• Identify delivery risks early and communicate progress, blockers, and required decisions through clear status reporting.
• Develop practical knowledge of Internet circuit provisioning, enterprise network architecture, and networking standards

What You’ll Do:

Circuit Ordering and Tracking

• Support quote requests, order submission, milestone tracking, technical-data collection, and installation coordination.
• Follow up consistently on open orders and identify risks that could affect deployment milestones.
• Maintain accurate circuit inventory and order-status records.

Provider and Stakeholder Coordination

• Communicate professionally with telecommunications providers, internal teams, and site contacts.
• Escalate issues with sufficient context and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate acceptance testing and handoff activities as assigned.

Reporting and Documentation

• Produce weekly status reports covering progress, upcoming activities, blockers, and required decisions.
• Use project-tracking, inventory, collaboration, and network-documentation tools to keep records current and accessible.

What You’ll Bring:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in a relevant discipline at an accredited university, with an anticipated graduation between December 2027 and May 2029 (rising senior and rising junior).
• Strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Available to work full-time for 12 weeks during summer 2027.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Skills

• Target major: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Network Engineering, and Network Security.
• Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, routing, WAN technologies, and Internet connectivity.
• Familiarity with WAN technologies, broadband, dedicated Internet access, Ethernet handoffs, or telecommunications provisioning is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with close attention to data accuracy, deadlines, and follow-up.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with providers, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and common collaboration, documentation, presentation, and project-management tools.

What You’ll Receive:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $20 to $25 per hour. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and may change over time.
