Full-Time Fall 2026 Co-Op

Competitive Weekly Pay Period

The Junior Infrastructure Co-op supports the administration and operation of S&C's core infrastructure platforms. Working alongside Infrastructure Engineers, this role gains hands-on experience with cloud services, servers, virtualization, monitoring, storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies while assisting with operational activities, documentation, automation, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist with the administration and monitoring of Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure services.
  • Support server maintenance, patch validation, system monitoring, and operational checks.
  • Help maintain system inventories, configuration records, architectural diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in backup verification, recovery testing, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Investigate infrastructure alerts and assist with incident troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
  • Support infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in developing PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Work with vendors and internal teams during maintenance activities and project implementations.
  • Follow change management, security, and operational procedures.

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

Required

  • In-progress degree program from an accredited university/college program with a concentration in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
  • Windows Server administration
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Virtualization concepts
  • Basic understanding of backup and recovery processes

Preferred

  • Completed coursework in: Cloud Computing, Networking, Windows Server Administration, and Virtualization Technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra Privileged Identity Management, Conditional Access, Identity Governance, lifecycle workflows, access packages, and hybrid identity synchronization.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Kusto Query Language, service management processes, audit controls, and security frameworks.
  • Microsoft AZ-900, VMware Certified Professional, CompTIA Server+, or equivalent relevant certification
  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent relevant certification

MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequently required to remain in a stationary position and perform desk-based work for extended periods during the workday.
  • Occasionally required to walk moderate distances within an office or site environment.
  • Frequently required to use hand-eye coordination to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, phone, and other office productivity equipment.
  • Occasionally required to ascend or descend stairs within an office or site environment.
  • Frequently required to observe details at close range when working with screens, reports, system consoles, and documentation.
  • Frequently required to communicate in person, by phone, and through virtual collaboration tools.
  • Occasionally required to travel for meetings, training, audits, project work, or site support as business needs require.
