Lab Technician\nLocation: Naperville, Illinois (Onsite)\n \n\nRole Overview\nThe main function of the lab technician role is to perform a variety of routine laboratory operations to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of various materials. The selected candidate will collaborate with teammates to complete interdependent tasks in a timely manner and participate in troubleshooting challenges when necessary. This position requires logging and setting up samples, working in the laboratory to gather results, and recording data consistently and accurately in a Laboratory Information Management System.\n \n\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform a variety of routine lab operations to assist a team processing samples annually for detection purposes under technical direction from a supervisor.Manage data entry of customer and sample information.File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.Respond to incoming correspondence, including email and phone messages.Execute laboratory tasks such as storing and disposing of completed samples.Filter and plate water samples according to ISO standard methods.Prepare supplies for routine testing.Restock laboratory supplies and perform routine laboratory cleaning.Receive samples in the building and open incoming packages.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation: A degree in biology, chemistry, or a relevant scientific field is required.\n \n\nExperience: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily within established timeframes.\n \n\nTechnical Skills: Proficiency in laboratory information management systems, basic data entry, and standard laboratory equipment operations is required.\n Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
