About the job

The Society for the Rule of Law is a national membership organization that upholds constitutional democracy by empowering principled leaders, advocating for Rule of Law causes in the courts and the public square, and uniting like-minded citizens who share our goals.

We are looking for law clerks to join us during the Spring of 2027 in support of our legal and public advocacy for the Rule of Law. Our leadership and membership are made up primarily of conservative or libertarian legal professionals, though our organization is open to people of all political persuasions and career tracks who want to do their part in preserving our constitutional republic. Our work builds a community of attorneys, law students, jurists, and other public-minded citizens with a commitment to preserving the rule of law, the Constitution, and American democracy against illiberal threats, no matter what side of the aisle those threats come from. In our next law clerk, we’re looking for someone who can put integrity and the future of our Republic over political party.

We are led by Executive Director Gregg Nunziata, a veteran of the conservative legal movement and former Chief Nominations Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Our board of directors includes retired Judge J. Michael Luttig, former Rep. Barbara Comstock, and several veterans of previous administrations, including high-level Justice Department appointees and White House lawyers.
