Camp Nurse Positions South Mountain YMCA Camps
The Health Lodge team at South Mountain YMCA Camps plays a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and healthy environment for our campers and staff. We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) licensed in the State of Pennsylvania to join our summer team. This is a unique opportunity to combine your medical experience with an engaging, community-centered camp environment—working closely with children, families, and a dynamic staff team.
Dates of Employment
- Full Summer: May 31 – August 15, 2026 (11 weeks)
- Partial Summer: Flexible week-by-week commitments available
Compensation
- Full Summer Commitment (11 weeks): $210 – $235 per day (based on experience)
- Partial Week Commitment: $150 per day
Schedule & Support
- 6-day work week
- Additional call-in nurses available to help provide time off as needed
- Ongoing support from a Lead Camp Nurse (10+ years of experience) for onboarding, training, and in-season guidance
Housing & Benefits

Qualifications
- RN or LPN licensed in Pennsylvania
- Experience in school nursing, pediatrics, hospital, or emergency care is helpful but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and college-age staff
- Strong organizational skills and a calm, adaptable approach
