Lead Graphic Design Intern

Internship: Unpaid Reports to: Annual Head of People, Graphic Design Mentor and Board Liaison Commitment: 2-3 hours a week remotely (may vary by month)

General Description:

The Graphic Design Lead Intern who fills this position should expect to grow their portfolio and skills with design and photo-editing and assist Graphic Design Interns in fulfilling graphic requests. We highly encourage applicants to be proficient with Canva and Adobe Illustrator, but this is not a requirement. The Digital4Good X #ICANHELP Graphic Design Team produces quality work for a growing nonprofit. We would love a qualified candidate who is ready to participate in various stages of online marketing campaigns as a designer. The Graphic Design Intern will play a critical role in maintaining overall brand and voice of Digital4Good X #ICANHELP.

Duties:

• Graphic Design Lead Intern oversees 3-8 Interns, with the support of Graphic Design Mentor and Annual Head of People
• Graphic Design Lead Intern is responsible for overall project management to ensure that quality is fulfilled and project scheduling requirements are met
• Fulfill requests made by other teams and #ICANHELP team members
• Create and design print and digital materials
• Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to the deadline
• Retouch and modify images
• Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media
• Assemble final presentation material for printing as needed
• Approve all graphics through Creative Director
• Communicate consistently with the Annual Head of People, Annual Graphic Design Lead Intern and Intern Team, Graphic Design Mentor, and Board Liaison
• Graphic Design Lead Intern: Attend monthly Annual Intern meeting on the 4th Sunday of each month
• Graphic Design Intern + Lead Intern: Attend Monthly Team meeting on the 3rd Sunday of each month

Team/Intern Monthly Requirements:

• Utilize Instagram templates to generate posts for each month aligning with the graphic design requests submitted by the Internship team
• Fulfill graphics requests by deadline
• Attend remote Graphic Design Team meetings on the 3rd Sunday of each month

Knowledge & Skills:

Applicants should be comfortable communicating through phone calls, emails, and other messaging across multiple devices, as well as initiating and maintaining strong personal relationships with the Internship Team. Applicants should have proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or other desktop-based editing software. Additionally, applicants will be required to meet deadlines and maintain an organized schedule. An ideal applicant can utilize their creativity to develop new programs, solutions, and content and see them through to fruition.
