Lead Recruiting Intern

Internship: Unpaid Reports to: Annual Head of People, Recruiting Mentor and Board Liaison Commitment: 2-3 hours a week remotely (may vary by month)

General Description:

The Recruiting Lead Intern will assist the Recruiting Interns in facilitating a recruitment plan of Digital4Good X #ICANHELP, as a fast-growing non-profit making a powerful difference in schools and communities across the country. We’re looking for a qualified passionate candidate who will hit the ground running by managing our volunteer database, working on outreach, and creating content to draw in new team members and partners. The Recruiting Interns play a crucial role in discovering and recruiting compassionate students, new schools, and inspiring mentors who are ready to help empower student changemakers.

Duties:

• Recruiting Lead Intern oversees 3-8 Interns, with the support of Recruiting Mentor and Annual Head of People
• Manage Volunteer Database
• Host monthly meetings with volunteers to discuss their passions and planned initiatives

• Work to onboard committed volunteers as Specialists

• Work with the Public Relations + Marketing Teams to plan out concepts for the official #ICANHELP Instagram and TikTok accounts a month and a half in advance, through the use of a monthly posting schedule
• Produce posts highlighting students/youth who are using “digital for good” concerning a variety of issues (Student Spotlight)
• Create content encouraging students to in the Digital4Good X #ICANHELP mission to empower student changemakers
• Host bi-monthly Instagram and LinkedIn Lives to promote others joining our mission
• Develop and workshop an international recruitment strategy
• Continuously refine SOP’s for internship program
• Develop a survey to identify the needs of our diverse community and create an action plan to address the needs
• Coordinate with the Graphic Design Team on graphic request creation
• Coordinate with the Video Production Team on video request creation
• Communicate consistently with the Annual Head of People, Annual Recruiting Lead Intern and Intern Team, Recruiting Mentor, and Board Liaison
• Recruiting Lead Intern: Attend monthly Annual Intern meeting on the 4th Sunday of each month
• Recruiting Intern + Lead Intern: Attend Monthly Team meeting on the 3rd Sunday of each month

Team/Intern Monthly Requirements:

• Check-in with volunteers to ensure they stay connected
• Add Volunteers to our team’s project-management database
• Host remote monthly Volunteer meeting
• Attend remote Recruiting Team meetings on the 3rd Sunday of each month

Knowledge & Skills:

Applicants should be comfortable communicating through phone calls, emails, and other messaging across multiple devices, as well as initiating and maintaining strong personal relationships with the Internship Team. Additionally, applicants will be required to meet deadlines and maintain an organized schedule. An ideal applicant can utilize their creativity to develop new programs, solutions, and content and see them through to fruition.
