Level 1 Program

All applicants must have the following qualifications to be considered:

• demonstrate a strong passion for the hospitality industry.
• are required to have at least one year of hospitality experience; customer service experience will also be considered.
• be at least a junior in college and/or have an equal amount of practical experience if not currently enrolled.

Level 1 interns will be hired to work an hourly role in one of our restaurants in Illinois, Washington D.C., Minnesota, Nevada, Texas, Florida or Tennessee. Interns will attend weekly meetings in which Lettuce industry experts cover topics such as restaurant financials, menu creation, marketing and more. The Level 1 internship includes a group project with a final presentation at a live expo in Chicago.

ALL CHICAGO-BASED INTERNS: Please be aware that working all four days of the Windy City Smokeout festival, July 8-11, 2027, are mandatory. Additionally, interns will be expected to work other Lettuce sponsored events throughout the summer. Interns in other markets with interest in working the Windy City Smokeout, may do so with prior approval from their partners and/or general managers.

Summer 2027 Internship Programs

Lettuce Entertain You is currently offering two Internship Programs. Both the Level 1 and Level 2 programs will consist of weekly educational meetings, which will run May 25 through August 4, 2027. As well as a practical portion (working in the restaurant). The start and end dates for the practical portion will be jointly agreed upon by the restaurant operators and the intern.

SUMMER 2027 APPLICATIONS open Monday, September 14, 2026 and will be accepted until Friday, April 9, 2027. Late applications will not be considered.
