Merchandising Intern
Supporting the Les Extraordinaires team in New York City, providing analytical and operational support for exceptional product categories including Exotics, Home (Objet Nomades), and hardsided trunks. The role involves hands-on merchandising work across product launches, reporting, assortment analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with retail, supply chain, visual merchandising, client development, retail learning, and finance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain merchandising reports, dashboards, and business recaps to analyze sales trends and support merchandising decisions.
- Support seasonal product launches by creating product knowledge tools, collecting retail feedback, and monitoring KPIs.
- Analyze sales performance, inventory movement, and product assortment opportunities.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis and support preparation for buying meetings and showroom activities.
- Coordinate sample tracking and assist with ad-hoc reporting, business analyses, and executive presentation materials.
- Participate in team meetings, product trainings, store visits, and cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field.
- Able and willing to work on site in Midtown Manhattan 4–5 days per week and commit to full-time up to 37.5 hours/week from September to December 2026.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Comfortable using or learning Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with strong analytical, organization, and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail oriented, adaptable, and able to collaborate effectively across teams; previous internship or relevant experience welcomed but not required.
