This posting serves as the position listing for the Hospital Case Manager Nurse Intern / Extern opportunity in Care Coordination at Geisinger Medical Center (GMC).

As a Nurse Extern, you’ll

• Work alongside experienced nurses in outpatient ambulatory settings
• Assist with patient care and learn the flow of clinical operations
• Receive professional mentorship and flexible scheduling
• Immerse yourself in Geisinger’s culture and build confidence for your future career
• Nurse Externs do not perform procedures requiring state licensure.

Eligibility: Applicants must be nursing students currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and entering their senior year. Eligible candidates are expected to graduate in December 2027 or May 2028. Applicants must attach a resume upon application.

• This is 10-week program, typically 40 hours weekly.
• Externship Program Dates: June 6 - August 14, 2027. Externs are required to attend a mandatory orientation from June 1st through June 4th.
