Stellar Bank has merged with Prosperity Bank
On July 1, 2026, Stellar Bank merged into Prosperity Bank to become one of the largest banks by assets headquartered in Texas. This merger allows us to serve customers with greater scale, expanded capabilities, and the financial strength needed to meet the evolving needs of Texas families and businesses. Starting in 2027, all program participants will be employees of Prosperity Bank.

Specifically designed to develop ODP Associates into versatile bankers who will become the company's future leaders, our program is structured to facilitate continuing growth and hands-on experience. Below are examples of career paths that our ODP associates typically follow, in Lending and Credit.

Lending
Support customers through the commercial and personal loan process — from initial meetings to underwriting and ongoing relationship management.
Develop skills in: financial data and credit risk management, customer service and business development
Gain exposure to banking operations — including loan documentation, audits, compliance, and presenting in loan committees.
Track:
- ODP Associate (21 months)
- Associate Portfolio Manager (18-24 months)
- Relationship Manager or Portfolio Manager
Credit
Analyze financial data and assess credit risk for new and renewing loans, working closely with lenders and credit officers.
Gain hands-on experience in underwriting, loan structuring, and presenting credit packages, while building a strong foundation in financial analysis and risk management.
Track:

- Credit Analyst II
- Credit Team Lead
- Credit Manager
- Credit Officer
Eligibility
Officer Development Program
New graduates from accredited undergraduate or graduate programs
At least 9 hours of accounting course work
Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in our Houston, TX, Greenway Plaza or Beaumont office and across our banking centers.
Two start dates per year: January/February and June
Open to interns, new graduates and Stellar Bank employees.
