OpsWatch Intern
OpsWatch is a specialized offering within Cornerstone that provides grant monitoring services across a broad set of industry sectors. Our OpsWatch team monitors a large net of federal grant opportunities and provides individualized client guidance on those opportunities most worth pursuing. In practice, the OpsWatch team pulls information from key sites like grants.gov and creates various tailored reports for clients like universities, municipalities, nonprofit foundations, national security and defense companies. The OpsWatch team also increasingly runs point on reading, summarizing and categorizing large omnibus bills to produce critical and timely analyses for clients and the firm at large.
OpsWatch interns get a unique insight into how federal funding mechanisms work (i.e. formula and competitive funding), and how they connect to broader policy work that Cornerstone does with respect to congressional activity, appropriations, etc. In addition, OpsWatch interns have the opportunity to do meaningful work and contribute substantially to client-facing work products. They will also be integral to OpsWatch as it works to expand its offering within Cornerstone by helping to reimagine the role OpsWatch can have in meeting client needs.
