About the role

Your Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Student on the Channel AI Solutions Team, located in Ames, IA, you will be immersed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on transforming how we create and deliver content that supports our internal business operations.

  • This role offers exposure to various areas of the organization and collaboration with multiple internal AI teams.
  • Prior Internship or Part-Time Student experience with AI is preferred—In addition, a strong willingness to learn and contribute

What Skills You Need

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Computer engineering, Information Technology others may apply
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited University
  • Graduation date of December 2027 or later
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Available to work 10-20 hours/week during the academic year
  • Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Ames,IA on a daily basis year-round
  • Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior standing students are preferred, Senior standing and those pursuing Advanced degrees may apply.
  • Technical capabilities in at least one of the following: Python and AWS or Azure cloud-based technologies
  • Experience in a working environment with AI Development
  • Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience and familiarity with AI Technology, latest industry trends and how it is being applied to address business challenges.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platforms and/or search databases such as NoSQL or OpenSearch
  • Experience in the design, development, testing and integration of complex software solutions leveraging change management
  • Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment
  • Understanding of design patterns and loosely coupled architectures
  • Strong desire to learn and develop skills in new technologies
  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, collaboration, and conflict resolution
  • Experience working in a team environment
