  • On Learning Experience

Under the direction of your preceptor, you’ll complete a comprehensive training roadmap that includes Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), activities, and time spent with leaders in your district. While in the pharmacy, you’ll support the team to ensure smooth operations, accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service that exceeds patient expectations. You’ll learn to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe and inclusive culture. Your responsibilities will grow with your tenure, including:

  • Following all SOPs at each workstation
  • Working production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off
  • Creating personalized moments for patients
  • Offering immunizations and services
  • Counseling and fielding medical questions under supervision
  • Taking telephonic prescriptions where state regulations allow
  • Coaching and mentoring team members
  • Completing inventory activities like cycle counts and returns-to-stocks
  • Contributing to a high-performing, inclusive team
  • Complying with all federal, state, and local laws and CVS policies
  • Delivering additional services like immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics when certified

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy school. You must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required. Essential functions include regular attendance (including nights and weekends), completing training within a designated timeframe, attention and focus, customer service orientation, communication skills, mathematical reasoning, problem resolution, and meeting physical demands like being mobile, lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally, and using close visual acuity for detail work. Preferred qualifications include 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service, the ability to become immunization certified (once state regulations are met), flexibility to work across market locations, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power. Point).

Compensation and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is $23.00 to $28.00 per hour.
