You will gain valuable hands‑on experience through a training roadmap that includes a combination of Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), activities, and time spent with leaders in your district.

Provide positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy, offering immunizations, and providing relevant services at the register and over the phone. Offer counseling, field medical questions, and solicit information on a patient’s medical history, when appropriate under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers, clarify prescriptions, or facilitate medication changes within state regulation limits. Maintain the highest level of self‑awareness and provide in‑the‑moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members. Perform basic inventory activities such as accurately putting away medication deliveries, completing cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting bin inventories.

Actively contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and be receptive to feedback. Adapt to scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to stores within the market. Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.

Adhere to CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, controlled substance dispensing and recordkeeping, and protect patient privacy and security. Deliver additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point‑of‑care testing where permissible by law and supported by required training and certification. When eligible, support immunization activities, including completing licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
