About the job

Production work, not coffee runs. Bureau interns work PR and media (press check-in, media wrangling).

The Short Version

To intern at fashion week, you apply directly to the production. The Bureau builds intern teams across its three fashion weeks. You must be 18 or older. No fashion school requirement, no referral — submit the application below, the team personally reviews every submission, and if there’s a fit for an upcoming season you’ll typically hear back within 1–2 weeks.

What Interns Do at Bureau Fashion Weeks

Press check-in, media wrangling, photographer positions, and step-and-repeat flow. Fashion week is one of the most-covered event formats on earth — this track is where that coverage gets managed.

Who We’re Looking For

You must be 18 or older by the show dates.

  • PR & Comms Minds: Press-facing interns work real media at scale: check-in, credentials, photographer positions, and the choreography of a step-and-repeat. It’s the difference between studying PR and doing it.

The Markets

Intern roles are on-site, in person, for the show dates.

  • Paris Fashion Week – October 2–3, 2026
  • Los Angeles Fashion Week – October 16–18, 2026
  • New York Fashion Week – February 2027

The Process

Role, show days, schedule, and terms are discussed individually during placement after review.

What a Fashion Week Internship Gets You

A season on the crew is a different asset than a classroom or a certificate.

  • The room: Bureau events draw 12,000–15,000+ people in person per event — and working the season puts you shoulder-to-shoulder with the people who make it.
  • The craft: Interns see the whole machine — run of show, call sheets, backstage flow, guest operations — executed at full scale.
  • The proximity: Hundreds of designers show per season. Fashion week puts you in professional rooms with the people who hire, repeatedly, per season.
  • The credit: "Intern, New York Fashion Week" is a line that changes how the next application reads.
