Production/Facilities Intern

Theatre Exile offers three internship sessions throughout the year.

• Fall (September through December) Applications due by July 1st
• Spring (Mid-January through early May) Applications due by November 15th
• Summer (May through August) Applications due by March 1st

Theatre Exile brings interns on board as an opportunity for us to invest in young artists and administrators, and for our interns to explore their interests in a highly collaborative environment. We encourage interns to bring their ideas to the table, join the conversation, and be a real part of the Theatre Exile team. Each participant will get a taste of what it is to work in every department, and will walk away with a general understanding of what it means to run a small, non-profit theatre company. Every intern will work in the office regularly alongside the admin team, and will gain front of house and box office experience. Within that, interns may choose to focus in one of the following areas.

Production/Facilities: Work with our production manager to get hands on experience with show load in, strike, designer notes, maintaining our rep plot and stock, and setting our designers up for success during the season.

Internships may be competed for college credit. Recent college graduates may also apply, but we are unable to offer stipends at this time. The time commitment is 15-20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling based on applicant availability and company needs. Theatre Exile takes on two interns per session. Internships are open to those 18 and older.
