Production Internship

The production intern will be responsible for working alongside DHD Films' in-house production team in various stages of assigned projects. You will assist in projects as needed, including, but not limited to: operating, maintaining, organizing camera, media, lighting and audio equipment, as well as creating shot lists with the potential for script writing and directing. You should possess a passion for cinematography or directing.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with cameras, lighting, sound, production equipment (Knowledge of Canon C Series and Panasonic GH4 a plus)
• Good understanding of camera operations
• Ability to create under pressure and with tight deadlines
• Ability to provide, take, internalize and implement constructive feedback

Program Overview

DHD Films is looking for talented, creative individuals to join our award-winning video production team as interns. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the production industry and will seek to learn more about the industry, as well as gain experience in communications, marketing, pre-production, production and post-production. The internship program will run for ten consecutive weeks, with one week off for vacation.

DHD Films offers an exciting Internship Program providing current students and recent graduates from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in the production industry. Each intern will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and to apply their educational and technical knowledge to real client projects.

Location

The internship will take place at the DHD Films Studio. Interns may be required to complete work at various off-site locations to be determined at the discretion of the internship manager.

Compensation

Interns will receive a $750 stipend upon the successful completion of the Internship Program. School credit will be available upon request in lieu of the stipend. Interns will have the opportunity to receive performance-based bonuses at the conclusion of the internship.

Eligibility

Hiring decisions are based upon an applicant's completed application, past work/internship experience, major field of study, references and any life or extracurricular activities. Ideal candidates will be well-rounded, hardworking, self-motivated, enthusiastic and will bring a unique perspective to the table.

Applicants must satisfy the following criteria to be eligible for the DHD Films internship:

• Proper work authorization to be employed within the United States
• Undergraduate (Junior or higher) and Graduate (MBA, MFA, JD, etc.) students currently enrolled and in good standing at an accredited educational institution
• Graduate students must have completed their first year before the start of the Internship Program
• Recent graduates one year or less removed are eligible to apply
• Must be able to work 20 hours per week
• Must be Mac/PC proficient
• Must have previous work experience in an office environment (media industry is a plus)
• Have a strong interest and passion for the film industry
• Must be highly creative, detail-oriented, self-motivated, a fast learner, an analytical thinker and a collaborative team player
• Solid interpersonal skills to work as part of a project team and foster collaboration
