Here's how a(n) Production Student for our Nassal office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Assists with reviewing work orders and shop drawings to ensure the necessary information is provided for fabrication.
- Assists with updating the list of deliverables within Inventory Management software system and provides tags to the respective foremen.
- Assists with cost projections during production reviews for the scope of work.
- Performs daily tracking of project schedules.
- Determines trackable production units for the specific scope of work.
- Assists with routine checks of items, ensuring proper documentation per specifications, and saves all necessary documents within the Work Order folders as needed.
- Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) and other construction industry-related software.
- Basic knowledge of fabrication drawings and specifications, project health, safety, and environment (HSE), quality, and required standards as per discipline.
- Basic understanding of project schedules and ability to identify the critical path.
- Basic understanding of productivity rates.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Basic knowledge of material, labor, and equipment takeoffs.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver's License.
- Available to work in Orlando, FL, full-time from May to August.
- Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.
