Program Management Intern
Impact and Opportunity
Our Summer Internship Program is a supervised program designed to enhance professional development by providing the chance to “test drive” Gentherm and step into our organization to learn about our culture and career possibilities for your future. Our Summer program formally runs from May 17, 2027 through August 6, 2027.
The interns will follow a cohort-style program with 15 other students, as they navigate learning Gentherm, our Mission, Values, and our Business Goals. The cohort will have the opportunity to interact and learn from Executive Leaders across the organizations through monthly learning sessions, as well as participate in both community and company events.
Students complete a predetermined project related to department goals and the student’s area of study. The program is designed to be an experiential learning that integrates knowledge learned in the classroom and practical application in a professional setting.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with PM team and PMO to create standardized and product specific timelines for each OEM.
- Support PM team with blower planning and alignment with product development and launch
- Identify inefficiencies with SAP workflow and create proposal and timing plan to implement positive changes for our new launches and engineering changes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in school and have finished their sophomore year by the start of the internship program.
- Able to be on-site 4 days a week (up to 5) at our facilities in Novi, Michigan
- Familiar with Microsoft products
- Previous internship experience
- Experience with program management methodologies
- Experience with business process improvements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Engineering, Program Management, Operations Management or related field
- Advanced use of Microsoft Project and Flowcharting
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Sound presentation skills
