About the role
Position Information
The Psychology Department at SUNY Cortland is seeking Peer Advisors to support undergraduate students with advising-related questions in the department’s peer advising initiative.
- Provides assistance with standard schedule questions, registration processes, technology, and class and curriculum requirements
- Holds peer advising hours for students
- Supports the coordination and administration of the Peer Advisor initiative
Days/Hours Needed
1-2 hours per week
Campus Location/Bldg.
Old Main in person
Required Qualifications
Must be a SUNY Cortland student able to work independently, responsibly, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Psychology major (Senior or Junior)
- Experience as a TA, OA or RA preferred
- Experience with peer mentoring or advising
- Strong academic standing
