Junior Recruiter Intern (Philadelphia, PA)

Initial Term: Three-month performance-based internship, with potential for full-time conversion

About Pond Lehocky: Pond Lehocky Giordano, LLP is a leading workers’ compensation and Social Security disability law firm dedicated to advocating for injured workers and individuals with disabilities. As we continue to grow nationally, we are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Recruiter Intern to support our expanding talent acquisition function.

Reporting directly to the Head of Talent, this individual will play an important role in supporting high-volume recruitment efforts across multiple offices and practice areas. This is an opportunity for an early-career recruiting professional to gain hands-on experience in legal recruitment, candidate sourcing, and talent acquisition strategy.

Position Overview: The Junior Recruiter Intern will work closely with the Head of Talent to identify, source, screen, and engage qualified candidates across a variety of legal and business support roles. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and interested in developing a career in talent acquisition.

Candidates with prior agency recruiting experience are strongly preferred, particularly those who have supported legal, administrative, or professional staffing searches. Candidates with 0–1 year of relevant experience in a legal environment, recruiting, or support staffing are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities: Candidate Sourcing: Identify and engage qualified candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, ZoomInfo, job boards, professional networks, and other sourcing channels. High-Volume Recruitment: Support multiple concurrent searches across legal, administrative, operational, and other business functions. Recruitment Pipeline Management: Build and maintain candidate pipelines, track outreach activity, and ensure accurate documentation of candidate progress. Candidate Outreach: Draft personalized outreach messages, conduct initial candidate engagement, and coordinate introductory conversations. Screening and Qualification: Assist with resume reviews, initial candidate screens, and assessments of candidate experience, qualifications, compensation expectations, and location preferences. Recruiting Coordination: Schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, follow up on outstanding items, and help maintain an efficient hiring process. Hiring Manager Support: Partner with the Head of Talent to prioritize open positions, provide candidate updates, and support hiring goals across the firm. Recruitment Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), sourcing activity, outreach response rates, candidate submissions, and other recruiting metrics. Process Improvement: Help streamline sourcing strategies, improve candidate tracking, and identify opportunities to increase recruiting efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • 0–1 year of experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, legal administration, or a related professional environment.
  • Agency recruiting experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience managing multiple searches or sourcing candidates for support and professional roles.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter and ZoomInfo is highly preferred; candidates must be comfortable using these platforms for candidate research, sourcing, and outreach.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates professionally.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
  • Demonstrated interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, and relationship building.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, applicant tracking systems, or similar recruiting tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Head of Talent and support a geographically distributed team.

Compensation and Growth Opportunity: The initial three-month internship will be performance-based, with an hourly compensation range of $23–$25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

During this period, performance will be evaluated against established recruiting KPIs, including sourcing productivity, candidate engagement, pipeline development, responsiveness, organization, and overall contribution to hiring objectives.

Candidates who meet or exceed established performance targets may be considered for conversion to a full-time recruiting position based on demonstrated results and the firm’s hiring needs.

This opportunity is designed for an ambitious early-career professional who wants to develop practical recruiting skills, gain exposure to national talent acquisition initiatives, and build a potential long-term career with Pond Lehocky.

Ideal Candidate Profile: The strongest candidate will be an early-career recruiter who enjoys the pace of agency staffing, is comfortable with outbound sourcing and high-volume activity, and knows how to use recruiting technology to identify qualified talent efficiently. Someone who is competitive, metrics-driven, resourceful, and eager to learn will be well positioned to succeed. Candidates based in Los Angeles or Philadelphia are strongly preferred to support the firm’s geographic footprint and collaboration with the Head of Talent.
