About the role
Main Objective:
To gain knowledge and experience in research and product development for orthopedic applications, specifically Orthobiologics, while assisting scientists, engineers, and product managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support in product development process and research, including developing research protocols and execute testing.
- Analyze and interpret data.
- Compose technical reports to communicate results of experiments.
- Perform literature review of relevant topics in orthopedics and basic science.
- Present experimental findings to engineering and product management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biology or related field or a recent graduate in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biology or related field required. Sophomore or above preferred. *(Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)*
- Prior work in a laboratory setting, with experience in cell culture, biosafety cabinet and aseptic technique preferred.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- Statistical analysis experience preferred.
- General understanding of engineering design process preferred.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy/physiology preferred.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
