As a Revenue & Data Analytics intern at Windstar Cruises Marshall Islands, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Vice President of Revenue & Itinerary Planning, Director of Revenue Performance, and Sr.
Business & Reporting Analyst. Windstar Cruises’ Revenue Performance department is responsible for all aspects of the company’s pricing, inventory, yield management, business analytics & reporting functions across our fleet of 6 ships as well as our multi-state corporate team supporting C-Suite, Sales leadership, accounting & marketing departments. This internship will provide you with invaluable real-world experience in several revenue performance and business analytics areas, such as updating corporate revenue reporting, sales reporting, learning business analytics tools like Power BI (Microsoft) and complex datasets existing in the company’s reservation system.
Through collaboration and participation in departmental meetings, the intern will work closely with the Windstar analytics team and learn the facets of how Revenue Performance serves as a business partner to drive the company’s strategic goals. This internship will be based in Windstar Cruises' Corporate Offices in Doral, FL.
Responsibilities Analyze and compile revenue & occupancy reporting on a weekly basis Build new dashboards in Power BI or similar business intelligence tool Reporting validation for future automation purposes Support evolution and migration of historical data from Excel into modern data lake Research revenue & business trends, summarize promotional effectiveness Create script documentation & SOP’s for updating reports
Qualifications Business Analytics major with at least 2 years of course work completed Basic knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Python & Advanced Excel (formulas) preferred Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality EEO: Windstar is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
