RN Extern

RN Extern The purpose of this Registered Nurse Extern role is to create a pathway for student nurses to receive 1:1 clinical training and possibly financial assistance while transitioning to a full-time role at WCH. Students must apply and be accepted as a Registered Nurse Extern and to be included in this program. Any offer of full-time employment will be based on performance and will be made based on the business needs of the hospital.

The Registered Nurse Extern's functions are to assist in providing quality nursing care to patients while under the supervision of an RN in accordance with the hospital guidelines. Registered Nurse Externs are required to successfully perform skills checklist that is a representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform this job at WCH. Education: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program Must be in good standing with grades – at least a C average Must have completed first clinical rotation Experience: N/A Licenses: N/A Certifications: Current Healthcare Provider CPR
