About Us: IDEA Lab Kids is a S.T.E.A.M. themed (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) enrichment educational center that offers unique and cutting-edge classes, summer camps, birthday parties, workshops, enrichment classes, after school programs, and event experiences. Our mission is to equip students with a diverse and solid educational and social foundation, so that they are prepared to lead in a rapidly changing, global society. We have an engaging, proprietary curriculum that is interdisciplinary, such as drone engineering, 3D Printing, Culinary Arts, Augmented Reality, Coding, Science Investigation, Robotics, and Entrepreneurship.

Our students not only learn fascinating concepts, we also focus on developing crucial life skills: critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, confidence, and perseverance. We exist to strengthen our community by serving our families and investing in children. We are hiring for Summer Camp Instructors for our Ballantyne location.

Responsibilities: Cultivate a safe and nurturing learning environment where kids can thrive and soar Forge strong and positive relationships with children and their parents Read, prepare, and deliver the IDEA Lab Kids curriculum (lessons plans with step-by-step videos, materials, and worksheets are provided) Prepare, organize and clean materials and workspace Prioritize student safety and strictly adhere to supervision and emergency protocols Collaborate closely with other instructors in a co-teaching model

Qualifications and Requirements: Some college courses preferred, especially in STEAM subjects Teaching or childcare experience First Aid / CPR (Certification Training will be provided if needed) Clean background and drug test check Punctuality, reliability, flexibility and professionalism are a must Offering: Summer Camps have both full and part time positions with flexible hours (Shifts from 7:20am-6:15pm) You can work all summer, or select the weeks and themes you would like to teach Weekend hours are also available for pop-up camps, classes, and Birthday Parties

Pay $15 to $20 depending on educational levels and relevant school experience Current college student pay starts at $15/hour High-school students 16+ can apply as teacher assistants starting at $12/hour Extensive training and strong mentor support for Manager and Director opportunities as IDEA Lab Kids expands throughout Charlotte Launch your teaching career here! 100% of Idea Lab teachers who applied with local school districts have secured a teaching position. Volunteer internships are available for 14-17 year old students as teacher assistants.
