Role Overview:
INDOT requires the addition of a seasonal Heavy Equipment Operator to support increased operational demands during peak maintenance and construction periods. Seasonal needs are driven by weather-related roadway work, including asphalt repair, grading, ditching, snow removal, and other critical maintenance functions necessary to maintain safe and efficient transportation routes.
This position ensures that the department has adequate staffing levels to meet public safety and service requirements without overburdening permanent staff or incurring excessive overtime costs. A seasonal operator provides flexibility to respond to fluctuating workloads, emergency events, and time-sensitive projects.

This position is with INDOT's Crawfordsville District.
Pay Rate:
This position pays an hourly rate of $18.00.
