The Registered Nurse, using critical thinking skills, coordinates and provides safe, quality care to patients in a family centered care environment, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assists in organizing patient care activities as assigned.
- Assesses physical, psychosocial, educational and growth and development needs of the patient, recognizing family strengths and individuality.
- Develops a written plan of care using assessment data and utilizing the family centered approach.
- Implements nursing care plan.
- Evaluates patient's response to interventions.
- Demonstrates leadership skills
Education:
- Required: Graduate of Registered Nurse Program
Experience:
- None
License:
- REGISTERED NURSE
Certifications:
- BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
- PALS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) within 180 days for inexperienced),
- Completion of APHON course within 2 years of hire
